Well written, held my attention to the very end. An enjoyable quick read with interesting characters, a good plot. Well done, recommend it to all mystery lovers.
Buried Treasure was a great mini-mystery set out on lower Cape Cod. The characters were interesting and the voice of the small town Chief of Police rang so true that it really made this short come to life. The descriptions and narrative made me feel like I was reading a well rounded novel and really held my interest.
A short yet delightful piece about reading between the lines and the human condition. Reading the story I couldn't help but picture the whole thing as if it was a black and white film noir, akin to Citizen Kane if you like. The story was written in first-person narrative, from the perspective of the small town chief of police, and centering on an investigation of a boat blowing up with the owner and two or three of his sons. The main suspect was the surviving son.
